That is completely and verifiably false. The seven-point health care reform plan released by the Trump campaign in March 2016 included the following:
1. Completely repeal Obamacare, including the individual mandate.
2. Enable consumers to buy insurance across state lines.
3. Exclude all health insurance premiums from taxation, not just employer-sponsored insurance.
4. Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts.
5. Require price transparency from all healthcare providers.
6. Block-grant Medicaid to the states.
7. Allow U.S. consumers to buy drugs from overseas.
This sounds like a great plan. This is what I supported when I voted for Donald Trump.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS SEVEN-POINT PLAN?
That may have been just to win the primary.(I bet its gone now.)
Then he went to the general election.
Even back then a year ago he was promising to keep the pre-existing conditions which is the most expensive part. You cant have that without a personal mandate.
Were going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you cant pay for it, you dont get it. Thats not going to happen with us.
