All Republicans need the spine to be opposition to Democrats.
Problem is in my opinion is that probably 40% of Republican politicians might be leaning progressive.
Once a GOP’er have been in DC ten years or so their view as to who their constituency is has changed. Its no longer the folks back home, its the Beltway! Many don’t even know its happened to them.
