If Trump really wanted that bill then I would ask two questions: 1. Why didn't he make a single nationally televised appeal to lay out the terms of the bill and explain to Americans why it was a good idea?

Because he cannot get a televised tweet in less than 140 characters

2. Why would he ever accept a rushed, half-assed process with an artificial deadline set by Paul Ryan that was only established so it would coincide with the anniversary of the original Obamacare legislation?

What are you talking about here. Ocare was passed around Christmas so not sure what you are meaning here by anniversary. And as far as deadlines, President Trump pushed to have a vote last week. Which was good. IT let it DIE
