" Republicans in the House had a chance to align with him and get much of what they desire. They chose not to. "

What this here is, is this is Trump's first move to getting some leverage to put Paul Rino out of business.

It was the Republicans' mistake to have ever put such a weasel in that position.

Yes, and notice that bill DID make it to Obama’s desk?

There’s the smell of ten day old rotting fish wafting out of Congress these days...

So you would rather see all the things he has done so far reversed.

What gave you that impression?

Throwing his support behind Ryan's bill was IMO, a betrayal, but not a surprising one, considering his background and connections.

I happen to think we did exactly the right thing by voting him in.

Well, considering it was either him or Hillary, can't argue with that.

I don’t think any other Candidate could have beaten Hillary.

I think we did the right thing all along.

Look at the support Trump garnered. Even then it was next to impossible for him to win.

The RINOs and even some other Conservatives could not have accomplished the task.

If I misread your overall views, I apologize.

A repeal only bill passed on 1/08/2016 and ended up on Obama’s desk... and of course we know what happened. why couldn’t one end up on Trump’s desk now that we own 3 branches. someone doesn’t want it to go all the way.

Brady's plan is Ryan's. just to FYI you. It's a good plan, but the corporate tax rate cut is not as dramatic as Trump / Kudlow's.

Kudlow had Brady present it on a Saturday show a few months back.

That’s only been explained about 872 times, re not bothering to filibuster.

With Democrats in a hard spot in 2018 they might easily work with Trump to save their hides. These would have been seats that would built on a possible GOP super najority. Now they were given a lifeline on Friday

Those clean repeal bills were never filibustered because Obama would not have signed. Those are DOA more than Friday’s bill was

I just hope all the people around here who were SO nasty towards Ted Cruz supporters can appreciate now what our concerns are. I was rather amazed to read Jim Robinson say he was an early supporter of Cruz, after seeing what an orgy of hate he allowed this forum to become.

Cruz would have put Neil Bush in charge of Finances. Stop fantasizing. He earned every bit of scorn he got.

The problem is he is looking for Democrats in a sea of Bolshekrats. I could be wrong but I think the last Democrat was Scoop Jackson.

The legislation that POTUS wanted to pass would have increased premiums, increased the deficit and eliminated coverage for 15 million people. This is what you voted for? Trump needs to get with the conservative agenda.... fast.

that’s the thing, then we should never try to pass a repeal again, because it will be filibustered to death? we should just give up now? And that Paul Ryan is right, Obamacare is the law of the land because we don’t want to face a filibuster?

i mean if we know the end result would be doa bill, why did they do it with obama, but not with trump? i want to see the filibuster show and see some names.

I really don't think Donald Trump is dumb enough to come down hard on anyone who opposed a House bill that had the support of 17% of the people in this country.

You do not understand. Trumpcare was what President Trump wanted and the Conservatives took his toy away from him and he will make them pay. If it hurts the rest of the country, so be it. He will get even and it does not matter who's toes he steps on.

This is business and President Trump is a businessman and a wheeler dealer deal maker.

The problem with Ted Cruz was not his espoused policies.

It was the fact that he, himself was a despicable human being, unworthy of trust in any arena.
