To those saying take it down in steps. You are repeating the same advice that has gone NOWHERE or 50+ Years. Name any Government program that has been reduced and eliminated. Also those saying there will be consequences for eliminating Obamacare! Of Course there are consequences to embracing Evil! But that does not mean you do not take your medicine and correct that Wrong! By Trump saying he will wait until ObamaCare blows up, he is slowly neutralizing those in the Dem Party who won't accept anything other than a single payer plan, aka a ‘fixed ObamaCare’.
Once both extremes are neutralized and the public starts screaming for real HC reform because ObamaCare is blowing up to the point it can be ignored, Trump will step up to the plate.
"Down a lot" won't cut it. Ryan needs to be gone from the Speakership by the end of this session or its a signal: The Fix Is in.
Some people are saying Ryan ain't so dumb after all. They're saying Ryan and the GOPe killed the conservative wing of the Republican Party and Donald Trump's Presidency with one shot.

You guys spend so much time on these boards talking politics and still seem to be clueless about politics. Name someone who will get support of everyone and who will make you happy...If the Freedom Caucus was popular they’d provide the Republicans with a speaker but they don’t? It doesn’t matter who the speaker is. They’ll have to workout deals.

Most that follow politics probably think that 3rd phase would vaporize. You do make a good point that it likely would have been attached to a bill enough Dems would have had a tough time not voting for (infrastructure) and with the first phase killing off much of Obamacare, what would be left for Dems to fight to save?
This bill was only 122 pages and published online, but I’d wager that 90%+ Republicans had no idea what was in it. They only know what their favorite conservative radio host or influential Twitter guy said about it.
Also, the bill was a committee vote of sorts. It would have come back from the Senate totally different. McConnell supposedly had a whole new bill that he was going to use as an amendment.
Is anyone else at FR concerned that it is the conservatives Trump goes after? He didn’t take a swing ONE TIME, at Ryan or the mushy moderates that just want to continue this big gov debacle.
He tweets to watch Jeannine Pirro and she lays it out that Ryan is to blame, but then he comes out this AM to say the freedom caucus is to blame.
It worries me that Trump does not have a committed grasp of solid constitutional values which include shunning these bloated government programs, that include this ryan health care bill.
President Trump has a point though.
Everyone seems to forget it was Lying Ryan and his whip that lied to Their members on the Budget CR just a year or so ago with promises of the bill being pulled or Amended. Once he got Their votes he screwed them over.
Now he has the Insurance lobby write a bill, limits access or amendments and says don’t worry, the real fix is in “future” legislation not even written?
Trust Lyin Ryan after he screwed them over like that? If this this would have passed it would have totally gutted Trump’s support. Look at the parts that would have hit those over 55. Those blue collar workers that voted for him in Penn. Mich. And Wisonsin GONE in one vote.

And those people whose whole plan is a repeal.....and then walk away, seem to forget that there are millions of people that were forced into this thing through no choice of their own, who now have nothing to return to.
Every time I ask, I get boilerplate replies like “the free market”.
Never mind the fact that the insurance companies wrote Obamacare in hopes of making billions off of forced insurance plans, and never mind the fact that people now insurance-less will now be forced to buy from these same companies that will be waiting with sky-high premiums because a windfall of Americans will need to buy new insurance.
While Ryancare was not a great plan, the virtue signalers on the other side seem to think that they dont have to have any thing but a slogan.
