Los Angeles has blocked airport police and firefighters from co-operating with federal immigration agents.
The latest directive is the city's most aggressive bid yet to oppose President Trump's tough crackdown and protect illegal immigrants from immigration officials.
Mayor Eric Garcetti declared it was 'un-American' to 'demonize' their neighbors simply because they are foreign, as the city beefed up its 'sanctuary city' status.
The Los Angeles Police Department already prohibits police from asking for the legal status of a suspect even if they have probable cause.
'In Los Angeles, we don't separate people from their families because it's inhumane,' Eric Garcetti said on Tuesday.
'In Los Angeles, we don't demonize our hardworking neighbors just because they speak another language or come from another country. That's un-American.'

Most policemen or firemen I’ve known are very stubborn. Some would call it strong willed. Most also have a definite sense of what society defines as right and wrong.
No one is advocating these families be separated. It’s the family’s decision to either follow the illegal alien back to wherever the illegal is returning to or to separate from the deported lawbreaker. It’s the family’s decision to separate.
It’s past time for President Trump and Sessions to start pulling the old Obonzo/Holder trick. Start suing the asses off of these law-breaking states. Bozo and Holder were always suing Arizona for something or another.
How long can LA last without federal funds? We need to see concerted effort to cut any federal funds to sanctuary cities, counties, and states. Bet if the government cut funds, put ongoing work on hold, started relocating government work out of LA, they’d change their tune in a heartbeat. President Trump has been challenged, will he face them down?

You’ve got lots of people flying Mexican flags in LA. Is living in Mexico supposedly inhumane? Let the Mexican patriots be repatriated.
The compromise we should make with Dreamers and other long-term illegals is that we won’t permanently ban them from US citizenship if they return to their country of origin voluntarily.
Immigrants, including children, need to have restrictions on their ability to receive government assistance, unless they are true refugees. And no federal dollars for public schools for non-refugee immigrants. Let the states decide whether to supplement the cost of public education for these immigrant children.
Immigration is for people who benefit our nation. We have plenty of people who take more than they contribute already.
Cheap labor can benefit our economy as well, but not when it is subsidized on the back of tax payers.

Local and state governments cannot be drafted by the federal government to carry out federal law. That’s well-established by English common law traditions. The USSC has correctly ruled on this matter numerous times, the last being Mack v US, where the pig Clinton tried to illegally draft local sheriffs to carry out his gun bans.
Local, state, county and tribal government are sovereigns, which includes county sheriffs. This is a good thing that reinforces the concept of federalism.
Trump needs to send out federal law enforcement to round up alien invaders.
