House Speaker Paul D. Ryan says the nation will be “living with Obamacare for the foreseeable future.”
Mr. Ryan said there are no immediate plans to try again on repeal, meaning Republicans will allow Obamacare to play out.

Well maybe so. But it depends on what happens next. If Obamacare “collapses” as Trump has said it will - that could be a crisis that is ripe for taking-advantage-of. I hate that some people may be hurt in the process, but today was the opportunity to make a different choice, and some say the Ryan bill would have hurt a lot of people too.
So maybe this is Trump being 3 steps ahead again. Give repeal-replace a good try, but win either way. Because if Obamacare collapses he can walk in and say OK, you didn’t want Plan A (Ryan) so here is Plan B. But Plan “O” would no longer exist (as it does today).
Sometimes it is better to lose a battle so you can win the war.

Maybe not losing. Obama Care is still stuck on the Dims. If the Repubs had passed something it would be blasted by the FAKE news media and all sort of horrible results would be on the Repubs shoulders. So DJT should modify OC as he can to make it worse!

Lost all respect for these clowns. Ryancare would cut 1.2 trillion in spending over 10 years. They killed it and have no plan B. So now the tax cuts are in jeopardy, the border wall is in jeopardy, etc.

Does anyone know if the administration can go forward with the EO’s outlined in Step 2 of this bill?
A full repeal requires 60 votes in the senate. Obamacare was enacted with 60 votes.
Many people seem to think that if they scream loud enough they will get Susan Collins, Portman, and a bunch of democrats to vote for a full repeal but it just won’t happen.
