LOL! Believe me, we hope there isn’t a large litter in there too! That’s the last thing we need.
She isn’t huge at this point but her belly’s definitely round. I haven’t felt the kittens yet, though, and wonder if she’s so blown up from eating a lot. She isn’t gorging any more but she did the first few days. Her appetite is still very healthy.
I plan to take her to the vet next week and let him check her out. He did feel her belly when she was checked out after arrival and he just said we needed to get her spayed soon. Maybe he wanted to just take the kittens before they developed any further. Had one vet do that when I took a cat in. I didn’t know she was pregnant and he didn’t tell me until later, when she got inflamed mammaries.
If she is pregnant, she’ll have the kittens in one of the bedrooms where all the others have been born. We put up a screen door so the mommas don’t feel totally isolated and I spend a lot of time with them until the babies are old enough to come out with the rest of the cats. They all get to meet through the screen in the interim. Works out well.
I don’t mind cloudy days too much but when we have too many of them, like lately, they can be depressing. With all the rain in the forecast the next week, we don’t expect a lot of sunshine.
Ohhh...you’re going to miss the sun! My DIL likes lots of sun. I think she has one of those lamps to mimic it while she lives in such a place as she’s in now....lots of clouds roll by there.
I’ll bet she’ll have such pretty kittens if she has them. The screen is an excellent idea! Maybe I need one so I can get some sleep. LOL! Nah...they’d just yowl and pick at the screen till I’d give in.
