The Secret Service is bracing for the impending appointment of a new director with a senior military rank, the first time an agency chief would come from outside the service in modern history.
Agents and officers are expecting Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, a retired Marine general and former head of U.S. Central Command, to tap another general to head the Secret Service and help reform the agency and impose more rigorous and even-handed discipline, according to two knowledgeable sources.

Translation: The Secret Service is a bunch of corrupt malcontent degenerates that needs a tough American Patriot in charge to whip 'em into shape and drain their corner of the swamp.

the SS seemed to have gotten more & more slimey over the Obama years . This could be a good change . Why none of them have not blown the whistle on Obama I cannot figure . Maybe they were all too busy blowing Obama’s whistle

The problem with that is that you can’t keep your best men on the front lines forever. After a man has spent time as the tip of the spear, eyeball to eyeball with the forces of evil, he needs a nice office job for a couple of years so he can decompress.
If all those jobs are filled by women, there’s no place for him to go.
Women should concentrate on their highest duties, the ones that only they can perform. That would also help get our prison population down.

I think there have been 3 fence jumpers within a week, able to get past and run around because there weren’t sensors on the fence like there used to be and a slow response. This against a President who faces more legitimate death threats than any one living.
And that’s aside from their scandals like hiring hookers in Columbia AND leaking intelligence files on Rep. Chaffetz to embarrass him because he was investigating those scandals.
When security and intelligence agencies see conservatives but not Islamic and authoritarian liberals as the enemies, they are creating a police state.
When they are actively using the information they collect through mass surveillance not to stop liberal fascists or Muslim terrorists but undermine democratically elected officials, they are committing treason, a faction seeking to overthrow the legitimate government.
They should be removed from office, many jailed, all banned from ever serving in any official capacity ever again.
I think military training should be required for all on the security detail. I also think that the detail should be limited on who gets protection. I heard the service is being stretched to thin with protective detail. I would also peel them off of the treasury department but I don’t have an idea whether it be homeland security or the FBI that is in charge of the agency.
I’m likin the BUDS and Spec Ops training ideas. It’s clear that the SS as currently constituted is not up to the task of protecting our president.
Hope he has more integrity than the marine being charged with all the admirals

I think a Marine in charge of the SS might be a good thing.

Know of a person who knows exactly what went wrong with the Secret Service. Part of it is they stopped hiring as many people with real LEO experience and started hiring frat boys who look good in suits.
As much as I hated Obama, he had plenty of fence jumpers and derelict SS agents too.
I'd have been outraged if so much as a hair on Obama's head was hurt due to incompetence.
The POTUS is much more than one man.
An attack on the POTUS is an act of war, no matter what his politics are.
The female SS agent who stated she wouldn't take a bullet for Trump should have been fired and jailed.
NOT "reassigned".
ANY SS agent who said something like that should have been punished with extreme prejudice.

I didn’t realize until looking into this story that SS was moved from Treasury to DHS way back in 2003.
They should be FAR MORE than just a TSA agent in a black suit.
