“COMEY: With respect to the president’s tweets about alleged wiretapping directed at him by the prior administration, I have no information that supports those tweets and we have looked carefully inside the FBI. The Department of Justice has asked me to share with you that the answer is the same for the Department of Justice and all its components. The department has no information that supports those tweets.”

He is the Federal Bureau od “investigation” and this is cound by reviewing discovery documents in a congressional office? WTF?

Wiretapping in the strictest sense is attaching a listening device to phone lines. Perhaps that is not how the surveillance was collected.

Planting a bug or using other types of hidden microphones would not technically be considered "wiretapping" if your main desire was to mislead someone who is investigating.

I haven't seen a transcript, but I wonder if Comey was asked if the FBI, or any federal intelligence agency, had monitored or recorded any private communications by Trump or any of his advisers.

If recent releases of information by Nunes are true, Comey is a candidate for a perjury charge. My dearest hope is that the Intel Committee and Mr. Trump have set him up for this. When the first solid charge of perjury is lodged, it will be time for an independent prosecutor to step in, maybe Rudy(?)
