“Again, perhaps folks will agree with you.”
I should say for full disclosure purposes that I have an axe to grind in issues like this.
I was run over by a drunk lawyer in 1978 who used his position, influence and contacts to avoid responsibility. I spent 47 days in the hospital and was left partially disabled. The slime did not even help with my medical bills. Anything that is bad for lawyers is something I support.
I use Martindale and Hubbell to research any lawyer I am thinking of hiring. A lawyer who was a dear friend told me about it. He was a brilliant tax attorney who died very young.
Justice Antonin Scalia, arguably the greatest legal mind of his generation was a Harvard Law grad. Chief Justice John Roberts and Anthony Kennedy are Harvard law grads as is Neil Gorsuch President Trump’s current nominee.
Every member of the current Supreme Court either went to Harvard or Yale
Law School.
So is Harvard admitting that the law of supply and demand works, and is damaged by regulations, and deregulation is the way to obtain diversity and prosperity?
We need to use this a a teaching moment.
It really depends on what they are teaching
if they are teaching American constitutional law, fine.
if they are teaching that our constitution is an outdated relic from sexist pigs and racist white men of privilege that should have no say in the modern IslamoNazi People’s Democracy of Amerika
then it really doesn’t matter what admissions tests they use, we are sunk anyway
Thanks!
I take your point.
It can certainly get worse, as almost everything has.
But your daughter is obviously an exception, and we do see others like her who make it through, thank goodness.
Congratulations to her parents and to her!
I am very sorry to hear that.
I try not to lump groups on issues, but this is one group that sorely tests my resolve.
All the best to you.
Adak. The buildings are already there, it would just take some rebuilding of the infrastructure.
FWIW, my father did some TDY there in 1964, missed the Anchorage earthquake by a few weeks.
We’d lose a few good ones.
We’d get rid of a lot of really bad ones.
Gold standard?
They graduated Dorkbama the Muslim eunuch.
Fool’s gold indeed.
The “General” test was glorified SAT, yes. However, 30 years ago, it was typical to require the “Subject” test as well. Most of those were fairly rigorous.
I was applying for a job (didn’t get it) in the Anthropology department, and noticed the graduate roster. It appeared that the foreign students had gotten GRE waivers.
it’s not the top ranked Law School
it’s in the top 10
Opportunity for Snowflakes too nervous to take those nasty competitive exams. They should make swell trial attorneys, where diversity tips the scales of justice.
Personally, I think your comment is clever and funny.
Its not like theres a lawyer shortage.
Why lower the standards?
...
My guess is it has something to do with schools wanting student loan money. They could care less if their actions benefit the country.
Math 101. Easier law school entry = more students = more “professors” = more tuition revenues.
“...essentially IQ tests...”
LSAT is basically an IQ test- not sure about the GRE -
