I’d put this in the category of “there’s a sucker born every minute.” I suspect a lot of the people buying these bunkers are Hollywood types who actually believe that Trump’s election heralds the end of the world. So some innovative people are taking old, abandoned military shelters and turning them into “billionaire bunkers” and selling them for a fortune. Note to the dopes who buy these things — unless you have a private army to defend you in them, all these things are are targets for the mobs who will be roaming the streets, raping and pillaging, after the collapse of civilization.

Gvmnt has lots of shelters here and there. But they don’t have enough ammo to defend them from the inevitable.

These houses were being built in the Rockies in the mid-1990s (and I'm sure other places, too). Many are in gated communities, a protectable distance from areas of population. The ones I saw back then mostly didn't have anyone actually residing in them, but had guards protecting the enclaves. They had everything needed for survival and self-sufficiency, for years if necessary.

My reaction back then was two-fold. One was "they know something we don't know". Another one was from the couple in front of me on a bus tour for a charity. The lady said "my gosh, how many multi-millionaires are there? How does everyone else survive with so many rich people we never even heard of?"

That was about twenty years ago. What's my point? Of course the global elite have a plan if it all comes tumblin' down.

That's my conspiracy theory, and I haven't seen, heard, or read anything to discount it these past 20 years.
