What could have been in a building under construction that could have caused an explosion like that? Probably the propane tanks for the portable heaters used to warm up the interiors enough to allow drywall crews, tile crews and painters to work. Once they get hot enough the pressure relief valves of the propane tanks open and the propane in the tank ignites explosively.

The fire in Raleigh was only about three blocks from the Governor’s residence and about 5 from the captal Building...Right downtown...

I know what propane can do.
There was a warehouse fire in Buffalo many years ago where the building filled with propane fumes and something happened to ignite it.
BIG mess.

The temperature was in the mid-80s today. Global warming and all that, it snowed less than a week ago.
