The NFL is in it to make money.
The slimeball Kaepernick is cutting into their profits.
They are perfectly right to avoid him.

I think the answer is self-evident: Kapernick is (was) a locker room cancer. Tebow was not.

Neither of them have much talent at the NFL quarterback level at this time.

NFL defenses were flustered by Kapernick for a period of time, but once teams figured out how to defend him, he couldn’t adjust...he doesn’t have enough talent to do that. It is a copycat league...when someone has success in a given aspect, everyone else clearly sees it, and they don’t have to re-invent the wheel.

Hey Colon, I've got an exciting business angle for you!

Since no NFL team will hire you, get with Boobamba and start a new league in Kenya!

Get this, Boobamba is now flush with U.S. taxpayer cash. Just before he left office he saw to it that Kenya was earmarked for a few hundred million dollars in US aid.  Kenya now serves as a temporary money laundering bank for Boobamba's Foundation which is set to suck a lot of that cash from Kenya's corrupt government leaders.  It's all set.

So money is no problem.

Oh, and don't about building a league in Kenya.  Why worry about building something when you can mandate it through government.

The Kenyan leaders will force the population to support this new fledgling league.  They can deduct the ticket money directly from their paychecks.

You can even mandate that players must raise their fists in the air and kneel on one knee when the Kenyan national anthem is played.  This is everything you could have wanted.

Go for it, Colon.  And take ESPN with you to Kenya.

" Kaepernick will stand for the national anthem during the 2017 season..."

A humbled and heartfelt reformation might be one thing, not being a good QB any more is another.

They play for high stakes in the NFL and Colin Kaepernick's time is done. He's as significant as last week's gallon of milk now.

Were it not for the NFL’s short lived fancy of the Option Offense and the Wildcat formations, Kaepernick likely would have never played a down as an NFL QB.

Spike Lee thinks he’s going to shame Johnson & Johnson heir and close Trump buddy Woody Johnson into hiring a cop hater (see Kaepernick’s “cops are pigs” socks) as the face of Johnson’s billion dollar NFL franchise.

Uh huh. Right. Keep telling yourself that, Spike.

I think his agent made this known, to make him more palatable as a free agent. But I don’t think I’ve seen it come out of his lips directly...maybe giving himself room to backpedal later.
