California’s top judge criticized federal immigration agents for using courthouses as “bait” — a place for “stalking” immigrants who “pose no risk to public safety.”
Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye wrote a letter Thursday to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Department of Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly amid reports of federal agents going to courthouses and scouting for immigrants who are not in the country legally.
Such incidents have been reported in California, Texas, Oregon, Colorado and Arizona.
In the letter, Cantil-Sakauye requested that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents stop arresting immigrants at courthouses.

An illegal alien is a criminal no matter if he or she is a threat to anyone. Get rid of them all.
She is a state judge and as such I do not think she has any power over the Fed agents. Perhaps if she and the rest of CA were not sanctuary people, cities and state, and cooperated with ICE, then the agents wouldn’t have to look for illegals outside courthouses.

You folks keep doing your job. We the American public will support you. JUDGES ARE not God’s and we need to start addressing them. They do not wish to protects us and they have no protection without law enforcement. I am not for anarchy but I am tired of P C judges who do not follow the law. They do not make the law, to he’ll with them. No more hiding behind their black cloaks.
Unless she failed Civic 101, she should know that the Chief Justice of the California state Supreme Court has absolutely no authority over Federal law enforcement agencies or their tactics. It would be amusing if she tried to argue that Federal agents are violating the California state constitution.
This is a state judge. ICE can ignore their order :-)

Judges cannot tell law enforcement how to behave.
Yeah just go to where they live or work to arrest them...

I would have loved to have seen that judge put in handcuffs and dragged away on federal obstruction of justice charges.
Immigration is under the jurisdiction of the federal government. The states have no say in the matter. This pissant judge has no say in the matter. The ICE can set up shop wherever it wants as their mandate warrants, and detain and deport those residing in the US illegaly.
Their job is to round up illegals and kick them out of the US.
If you have a problem with that, then most likely you are part of the problem.
Courthouses are where the criminals are.
