Yes, tested municipal tap water is pure & safe to drink and is more regulated than Perrier. Got it.
But when I was stationed in Germany and went on Volksmarsch, the locals were appalled when I asked for a drink of `Leitungswasser’ (tap water). They gave me bottled water & said don’t worry about paying for it.
Is tap water any purer than in Germany?

I only drink water made from hydrogen that has been harvested from giant interstellar molecular clouds and oxygen harvested from lifeless gas giants.

That's what made Coor's popular. Rocky mountain water. Not Rocky's used water. Sigh...

I have no idea the condition of tap water in Germany at the time you were stationed there. I know that tap water in USA, AUS, Canada, and UK is generally safe to drink. I even drank the “tap water” in the Canadian “First Nation” village ... even after I found out where it came from. No problems.

Hate to burst your empty bubble, but you have zero understanding of how little treatment sewage receives.
Water from the sky is the only kind that goes down my throat.
All of the water that reaches So. Cal is essentially poorly treated sewage from the Sacramento Valley sewers.

>> “and in just about every city, town, village, and unincorporated crossroads in America, your tap water is clean, clear, and utterly safe to drink.” <<
That once was mostly true, but it is a total lie now.
No tap water is safe to drink today.

They should at least take the fluorosilicic acid out of the drinking water supply. Tough to get rid of it before you drink and it’s tough to get rid of it after you drink it. I use a modified pressure cooker to distill it out for the drinking water. Don’t know how much gets absorbed during showers and bathing.
