"So a secret service agent had a laptop stolen. A laptop containing maps of Trump Tower and various other secret kind of stuff. What the hell, they just leave these things laying around that anyone can see?"

A Secret Service agent apparently forgot the general rule of never leaving anything in a parked car, and had her backpack stolen from her vehicle in Bath Beach, Brooklyn, Thursday morning. It contained an agency-issued laptop with highly sensitive information, a police source told the New York Daily News. The laptop is encrypted, but reportedly contained some serious national-security information, including floor and evacuation plans for Trump Tower. It also weirdly contained some important files on Pope Francis, and, ironically, some details about the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Some sensitive documents were also stolen, reports CBS, along with the agents lapel pins that gave her access to details for the United Nations, Donald Trump, Clinton, and the pope, says CNN.

We don't know why pedophila intel is on the laptop of the secret service gal or how it "just happened to be laying there rather easy to take" for just the right person who may have been working for all the wrong people for all we know. Little happens out of coincidence I think we can all agree.
Soon after this was reported and the FR threads appeared, there were the to-be-expected FReepers *who know a lot* about the subject.
Their conclusion was this was A SET UP. NO QUESTION.
Some of them went into all the details for the conclusion.
Made sense to me.
Don’t tell me let me guess, an affirmative action hire.
What’s far worse is HOW it was stolen.
Evidently they have security camera video...
So a Uber car arrives at the location in the middle of the night.
A man dressed in black gets out, goes to the vehicle, opens it and removes a backpack containing the laptop and several United States Secret Service pins for different previous events (I have no idea what these are for and why) and leaves.
He doesn’t get back in the car, which drove off. He simply strolls away until he’s out of view of the camera.
SOUNDS like he knew JUST what he had to take. This has security agency planning and ops all over it.
Personally, I do not know of anyone taking a laptop home to continue their work.
From my home laptop, I log into Corporate with the prescribed security protocol.
When I travel to another office, I use one of their computers.
I do not need to shelp a laptop around during business travel
Why in the hell aren’t all government laptops equipped with GPS’s? Hell, most companies do that and with sensitive government information on them, there’s no excuse that we can’t track them down!
