I don’t care what it “had” in it, that’s only temporary.
Sending a bill out of the House does not make it law, it’s only the beginning of the process. Odds are it would have been shredded beyond recognition by the time it got back from the Senate, with only its title and number intact.
Then the House would have had another shot at it...Freedom Caucus included, and hopefully defund the ACA monster.
It could travel back and forth, maybe several times, until they “concur”.
If the President didn’t like it...he could send it back, or veto it.
It may still be viable...I don’t know.
If the POTUS had vetoed the bill it would be wrapped around HIS neck!!! This was the right thing, LYIN RYAN did NOT bring in ALL the factions of OUR party when writing this bill because HE had a BETTER WAY!!! Do you REALLY think the American people would have tolerated their premiums AND deductibles STILL going UP with the Trump bill REALLY!!! After 2 years their premiums would go down 10%, my premium EVERY month went up to 1200.00 I have NO pre existing conditions and am VERY HEALTHY !!! A 10% saving is 120.00 a month what the HELL kind of saving is that??? My deductible was 7000.00 a year unless I were to get cancer or run over by a Mac truck what the HELL good did it do to even pay that kind of premium EVERY MONTH!!! Then after 12 months the DAMNED deductable starts all over again!!! I am self employed had to get a job on the side JUST to get the health insurance!!! This was a BAD ROTTON TO THE CORE BILL and would NEVER have wanted this POS wrapped around OUR POTUS neck!! LYIN RYAN deserves to be GONE he is NOT on the Trump team NEVER has been and NEVER will be, he IS a mini MITTENS!!! He is STILL a NEVER TRUMPER!!!
That whole Washington two-step is exactly how they’ve crammed so much crap down our throat in the past. Just clear that first step then the Senate will fix it, then it will be fixed in conference, and the bill is ALWAYS made worse not better.
My only fear now is that that House Freedom Caucus will fight everything and they themselves will be the reason he can’t advance his agenda. That would break my heart.
