That whole Washington two-step is exactly how they’ve crammed so much crap down our throat in the past. Just clear that first step then the Senate will fix it, then it will be fixed in conference, and the bill is ALWAYS made worse not better.
My only fear now is that that House Freedom Caucus will fight everything and they themselves will be the reason he can’t advance his agenda. That would break my heart.
That "Washington two-step" was designed that way by the framers...sorta.
They wanted a big flap on most issues so almost every bit of debate could be exhausted. But then they also assumed there would be reasonable minds and they didn't want the Senators elected at large, but appointed by the legislatures.
It all depends on who gets elected.

Maybe so, maybe not, but it will be amended, you can take that to the bank. The bill seldom escapes unscathed in its original form. In this case, a perfect bill (according to the HFC) would still have faced that fate, I don't see what difference it would have made.
Except now, we have no bill. (unless I'm wrong)
Of course the final action is the approval or rejection by the Prez.
Kenny HFC will NEVER fight tax cuts or border wall!!! The only reason they fought this was OUR costs did NOT budge AND to much government involvement!!! ALL BENEFITS went to the BIG DONORS and no benefits to American people!!! FC saved our asses!!! Kenny without FC the DAMNED government tentacles would be in EVERY aspect of our lives they are the ONLY few gatekeepers we have!!
