"I didn’t sign up until I was 68 I believe. I stayed on my husband Humana insuranece. with a 6500 deductible because of me."

My husband is 10 years older than I. He was a teacher and retired when he was 64 after having open heart surgery. He went on SS a little early then Medicare at 65. I couldn't go on for 10 more years so I had to pay for insurance on my own.

With such a big deductible, why didn't you go on Medicare at 65?

My husband works for Humana and they saved my life 10 years ago paying for a medicine I’m sure no one else would have. It took some talking by my husband to get Humana to pay. I had great insurance and took the high deductible for lower cost. We met the 6500 for several years because of me. We now have a supplement insurance by Humana.
