OK thanks. I didn’t know if the red was substantially different than the green. I know I need to plant my broccoli really soon. I waited too late last year and disgusting green worms the same color as the broccoli showed up. Ick! I threw the whole crop away. I was told if I plant earlier the bugs will still be sleeping.
I’m especially happy for my SIL. She was so involved in the campaign, went to rallies, worked many hours at Republican HQ, even worked as an election judge and kept an eye out for Dem shenanigans. She was so proud when Trump won Florida!
She’s a great role model for my two nephews who were both old enough to vote this time - for Donald Trump, of course!
Dust the ground around your plants with Sevin dust. (It will wash off the food)
I believe big brother Eric is in the 6’4 range. Wonder if Barron will be even taller? However his feet are proportional. Height is an unfamiliar concept in my family. 5’11 is a giant in my family! LOL!
Put it on the ground, not the plants?

I keep a duster can by back door. It’s great for so many things. Even dusty the dogs.
There is a great blue ornamental cabbage that’s cool between annuals in flowerbeds

Melania Trump in Slovenia (sevnica), somebody pulled prank on locals.
Oh, I guess if they come from the ground that makes sense! I don’t usually think of these details :-)
Black Agnes gave me great advice last year, and I put down newspapers solid sheets around my tomatoes and pepper plants. I didn’t see any weeds and the blight was mild. Do you shred yours or do you put down solid sheets?
Last year was my first year really gardening. And I have a new respect for our forefathers who tried to make it a growing their own crops. First the rains are an issue. Not enough water at the right times and it’s all for nothing. Luckily I have well water that we can’t drink but I can use it On the garden. It has too much dirt in it for us. Then once I got the beauties to grow, the bugs showed up! It was heartbreaking to have these beautiful floor sheen plants be decimated by the stupid creatures. And then if they survived that, once I got the produce looking good, then the critters showed up! What a challenge. It’s amazing our forefathers survived.
They have all remarked that he will be the tallest of all. Eleven years old and almost six foot tall. Lanky like a colt. No wide shoulders yet. He’s got a distance to go. His feet are already larger than dad’s. Like a puppy, he will grow in to them!
Oh am I glad I moved from Mexifornia to Tennessee!
When was this? Last week?
“Hes acting very very badly. Potus said.”
Classic Trump.. It’s so cute.
Whole damp heavy sheets of news paper.
Straw is also good but it does get buggy
( I’m a master gardener )
Two books that have good tips for new gardeners
LASAGNE GARDENING
GARDENING BY THE SQUARE FOOT
Both should be available at library or used.
If you have limited space, there are several books and articles on container gardening.
He’s a gorgeous kid! He managed to get all the best genes from his parents. I hope he is able to continue to have as normal a life as a kid can have. I think it’s easier to look and be undersized than tall for one’s age. People expect a tall kid like him to act older than he is. He’s 11. When I was 11 I was like 4’7. :)
Last week on 13th
That’s neat, a friend just gave me his copy of square-foot gardening. No, I’m good on space. I have almost 19 acres here. 13 are pasture so I can make the garden as big as I want. Last year it was 30 x 60, which was more than I could handle.
What is the master gardener? Do you have to take classes and stuff?
I know I’m looking for a master optician for glasses. They have to have a bachelors degree for that. They are hard to find but they make all the difference with difficult prescriptions.
I’m watching women’s curling. Who knows why
It’s hard for a kid. The other day he jumped off the Bottom step of stairs to the ground. Just didn’t realize yet his legs could actually reach
Otoh dad introduced him to pilot who came to greet the family and Barron very mannerly extended his hand.
He is used to being around adults.
