Immigrants are canceling their food stamps over fears they could be deported.
Food banks and hunger advocates around the country from Tuscon to Baltimore have noticed a decline in the number of eligible immigrants applying for food stamps and a rise in the number of immigrants seeking to cancel their food stamps since President Trump’s inauguration two months ago, the Washington Post reported.
Advocates on behalf of these immigrants say that their fear stems from the possibility that Immigration and Customs Enforcement would notice their participation in the food stamp program and deny them U.S. citizenship or deport them.

Advocates for reforming the welfare system say that immigrants, both illegal and legal, have too much access to public benefits and take more out of the system than they pay into it.
“I don’t think it’s proper to increase the burden on U.S. taxpayers for people whose only claim to them is that they broke our law,” said Robert Rector, a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation. “These children receive a large amount of benefits because their parents came here illegally.”

You know I have posted this on thread after thread where everyone is screaming about illegals getting benefits. The benefits are for their American born children. Since the children are under 18 the food stamps are sent out in the name of their guardian....whether they are legal or illegal doesn’t matter. So the illegals are not considered as collecting food stamps per se.
Of course we all know the illegals benefit too but that is another story.
Obama was a substitute teacher, nothing more....the kids KNEW they could get away with murder while he was in charge. Now that the adults are back, many know the jig is up.

How about the child tax credit money that gets sent to Mexico. As an investigative example, a single home had over 20 kids receiving checks to that one address where three kids lived. The rest of the money went to Mexico.

Breitbart must be sent to the re-education camps. These people are not immigrants. These people are illegal aliens as defined by US laws.
Now that the ‘illegal aliens’ are cancelling their food stamps, we need to compare the names of those who have cancelled to the Voter Registration Rolls and additionally convict these ‘illegal aliens’ of voter registration felonies.

The 2002 Farm Bill restores SNAP eligibility to most legal immigrants that:
Have lived in the country for 5 years; or
Are receiving disability-related assistance or benefits; or
Children under 18
Certain non-citizens such as those admitted for humanitarian reasons and those admitted for permanent residence may also eligible for the program. Eligible household members can get SNAP benefits even if there are other members of the household that are not eligible.
IMHO, we need to stop calling these folks anything but what they are, CRIMINAL ALIENS.
We know that those with valid Green cards are not being deported for being immigrants.
These folks who they claim are scared to get their freebees may already have a judge's deportation order against them, like one ICE deported that libs were complaining about.

theyre illegal aliens...
theyre not eligible for US citizenship anyway...their own criminal behavior has led to their lack of eligibility...
if they really wanted to be US citizens they would have immigrated and done it the right way...
So they imply that people would prioritize starvation over being in the country. OOOOooook.
Seriously, if they were starving they wouldn’t do this. I’ll guess that what is really going on is that many were taking advantage of a program that they really didn’t need to and don’t see the point of taking the risk.
