At my Dads funeral when they played taps I got wet around the eyes. Now I cant stand hearing taps.When I was in the Army, they played TAPS when they shipped the body of a fallen Soldier {buddy} back to the states.
I was 18 and ever since then, regardless of the circumstances, when TAPS are played, tears flow, can't he'p it, and make no apology for it.

I managed to keep it together (sort of) when they played taps at my Dad's funeral, but when the sailor handed the folded flag to my Mom and said "Thank you for your husband's service to our country" that's when I lost it. He was a WW II vet.
