The owner of a sushi restaurant is in hot water for a Facebook post in which he complains about Hispanics being bad tippers.
"My servers are thinking about building a wall around the restaurant," Steve Wayte reportedly wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post. "Why don't many Hispanics tip? Really? Zero, Ziltch, Nada."

They don’t! I am so glad someone else said it instead of me. They really don’t. It is the truth. It is a very selfish society with razor thin values and disregard for anyone outside of family, statistically.
Not every country follows our tipping customs. In some European countries, and some south American countries, tipping is optional or maybe only 5-10%. In some of those places, being a waiter is a career choice for which a salary is paid, and tips are minimal.
I guess the part that bothers me is that lots and lots of people are insistent on living and working here but they could care less about our rules.
He’s got it wrong, I use to drive a Yellow cab in New York city and Hispanics are big tippers but black people??.....let me put it this way: If I got a black passenger to even pay the full fare I was lucky.
I think these are people who buy stuff cheap at garage sales to resell at a higher price at the local flea market

I waited on tables in college... Including the midnight shift at IHop ... Had a big crowd after the bars closed at two a.m. :)
I think most of us who worked in restaurants are generally pretty generous when it comes to tipping.
I remember when Hillary got pan handled and gave the bum a ticket to her rally.

Feelings of entitlement.
My daughter was a waitress while she attended college. She would talk about how the black waitresses hated serving other black people because they never tipped or would leave only the coins from their change.
When I went on a cruise, a worker there told me that Americans are by far the best tippers.
Tell that to someone who works for tips. Your philosophical conundrum doesn't pay their/our mortgage payment. It doesn't cover the cost of back or shoulder surgery for those of us who have to lift and load your luggage so you can get a ride to the airport.
Alms are for beggars. Tipping is for people who bust their a**es for you, so you can have a nice vacation or a pleasant night out with the wife.

There are stereotypes for a reason.
And that's usually caused by living a spoiled stress free life free from responsibilities. It produces selfifsh liberals without a conscience that are never responsible for their own actions.
I was a waiter at a fairly upscale restaurant thirty years ago. There were no Hispanics then, but there were two groups that were notoriously non-tipping: women and blacks. Just a general observation from recent history.
