Good for them. The army there can eat the wallpaper paste for at least a month. Sometimes getting what you ask for is the best long term solution for everyone else.

Kim is certifiably insane. How long until somebody takes him out?

“Good for them. The army there can eat the wallpaper paste for at least a month.”

Exactly. It locks their troops in position and they are a tapeworm on a near comatose economy.

I wouldn’t be totally surprised if some nukes get launched by the end of this. Hopefully we’ve done our intercept homework, despite Comrade Dear Leader Obama’s negligence.

If this is actual war footing, and not just some hyperbolic descriptor from the NorKs to sound scarier, then L’il Kim needs to s#it or get off the pot right quick. Even mature militaries like the US can’t maintain a war footing for more than a few weeks without actually engaging in combat, and if they step down again there’s a lot of maintenance and recovery that needs to happen before they can do it again.

The NorK army is likely just barely at readiness, so this is going to put an incredible strain on their forces (if true). Might be a window there in about 3 weeks or so when they have to wind down where some clever intrusion agents could get a lot done.

Not much longer. He mobilizes his starving reserves and takes food out of what is left of their families? It took 1 year, from 1932-33 in the Holodomor to starve to death from 2 to 10 million in the Ukraine.

No amount of police state could stop a real violent, starving coup against the fat little whacko with the Swiss education and the NBA star pal.

We could keep B-2 and B-52 bombers with mission appropriate ordinance over North Korea 24/7 for a year and hit anything opening a screen door in one minute. It would be a potent message to Iran.

If that chubby fool Kim actually gave orders to launch a real attack or a real missile, his own inner circle would kill him immediately. They know better than anyone that they themselves would be killed in a war or they will lose forever their privileged positions.

Some bright hacker should go in and launch some of his stuff—AFTER retargeting it to his house.

Wouldn’t that be a fun thing to do?

Any serious dustup with the Norks will be preceded by US taking out two Nork satellites.

We have very good anti-satellite weaponry.

Previous administrations just bought time with shiploads of grain and expensive cognac. We are reaping the rewards of that policy.

Our special ops guys did just that to a boatload of missiles the Norks sold to Syria not too long ago. The missiles were hacked in the firmware to blow up on launch. Which they did.

Been reading “I-Wars” by Bill Gertz. It’s pretty frightening. Apparently, like nut-case Kim has been working hard at the cyber side of war. While NK is clumsy, they can be effective.

They won’t beat us.. no way. But, they could really screw things up for us. As can the Chinese.

Obama’s passiveness with NK and China has really put us at a disadvantage.
