The National Weather Service has cancelled its blizzard warning for New York City as snow and sleet continues to fall across the Tri-State area. A winter weather advisory is now in effect for the city, Hudson and northern Nassau counties until 8 p.m. Tuesday. The storm was expected to dump a foot or more of snow on the New York City area with wind gusts of up to 55 mph.
The storm actually has shifted, it shifted west, Gov. Andrew Cuomo told CBS This Morning. Theres less snowfall in New York City, theres less snowfall on Long Island. Theres actually more in the Hudson Valley and the western part of the state.

And 40 NW of NYC I've got about a foot right now and it's snowing heavily.
Big fat nothingburger. Yawn.
I don’t think they overhyped this at all. They got the storm track wrong, but those that are getting hit seem to be getting exactly what they predicted.
We were supposed to get 3-6” in eastern Nebraska on Saturday morning, then they revised it down to 2-4”, then to 1”. We actually ended up receiving ZERO.
Cool photos. Hoping you have everything you need for a good “snowed in” day.
That makes a big difference. Many people got more than they expected and many got much less.
The best minds and technology cannot accurately predict weather 24 hours in advance for an area the size of one state.
But liberals believe that untrained ideologs with a leftist political agenda can accurately predict climate changes years and decades in advance for the entire planet.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. - H. L. Mencken

Rain and sleet here in Clinton NJ.....
Oh man.. I live 2 hours from there and I have 3 freekin feet.
Oh well, bad weather keeps the liberals away.
It started snowing in Central NH at 6:30 am and is snowing heavily now. If the track is really west, perhaps (fingers crossed) it won’t suck in as much moisture from the ocean.
What is going on with National Weather Service?”
Just making up news. Apparently someone there is feeling bored. They seem to have a habit of whipping everything into a frenzy pitch. Wonder what the lame stream media will come up with next.
folks, 40 miles west in NJ, snowing pretty good....
Bread/eggs/milk/TP sales up 100%, though.
Some spring skiing next week to help the ski areas out there salvage a blah season.
Joe Bastardi hit it right on the nose...well on our way to two feet plus here in the Twilight Zone!
School closed today, so no rec b’ball this evening. I miss my workout.
