ComDems and RINOs will fight it. But the public will pull their chain.

We will win this one too.

As we go back to giving more power to the state’s own destiny, go back to the Constitution’s provision of state legislators electing their Senators to represent the state, not the people!

“(b) The Director shall publish a notice in the Federal Register inviting the public to suggest improvements in the organization and functioning of the executive branch and shall consider the suggestions when formulating the proposed plan described in subsection (c) of this section.”

I hope FR posts a link to said Federal Register so we can all “suggest improvements”.

“If Trump didn’t do a SINGLE additional thing the next 7 years, he will have already have accomplished more good than any president in my lifetime, including Reagan.”

I dunno, Reagan defeated the Soviet Bloc, which was an existential threat to the United States. That counts bigly.

But this would be a close second.

Private sector. What a quaint concept.

I’ve got some friends who work in military research who were whining about taking days off for the sequester.

I reminded them that the reason we even knew each other was that my private sector job let me go on permanent sequester when they reorganized and I had to move my family 600 miles for a new job in the private sector.

I basically told them that my sympathy meter was pegged at zero for them.

They understood and quit whining.

Unbelievable. We have never seen any president do this. Utterly amazing, and a dream come true.

The shrieking and rending of garments inside the beltway will be horrendous, but it must be done.

President Trump should nickname Congressman Ryan “Paul Rino!”

I just came with a couple ideas yesterday.

Strip food from the FDA, changing it to just the Federal Drug Review Agency more about changes to it later). Move “food regulation” from the FDA and the USDA into a single “food” agency, renamed the Federal Food Regulation and Review Agency. Put it under the commerce department.

Take measurement of vehicle miles per gallon from the EPA to the energy department. Include therein the measurement of vehicle exhaust emissions to also be measured by the energy department and merely turned over to the EPA to inform it what the figures are. Therewith we remove the science of vehicle energy efficiency and emissions to “energy” engineers, not environmental advocacy.

Now, be certain the dimwits in the Republican Congress will side with their commie brethren to oppose this.

They can oppose it, but what constitutional authority do they have to do anything about it?

YES YES YES!!!! This fits in perfectly with this return to constitutional "Federalism" philosophy. As people watch in amazement as they become freer and tax are reduced, Trump will have an amazing bully pulpit to put this proposal for a constitutional amendment out there. Of course will be fought tooth and nail by the greedy Senators who are used to all the bit $$$$ coming in from super powerful lobbyists who can compete at the Federal/national level, they won't want to go back to being elected by a measly little state legislature but too bad too sad for them.

That one thing will do huge wonders for reigning in the Fed behemoth.

FReepers must do grassroots organizing to push politicians to commit to specific eliminations.

Politicians are primarily in the legislative branch. What constitutional authority do they have to determine the outcome or direction of such a process?

This executive order is aimed squarely at the executive branch, which the President controls.

The politicians don’t understand those of us in the private sector have been living this memo for the last 10+ years. The sympathy will not be as strong as they think.

Let’s shrink the EPA and move it into...
...say...
the Interior Department?

I don’t want to go back to the days of Lake Erie catching on fire, and having mega-fund sites being created by unscrupulous industry. (My experience with H1B visas has shown me how untrustworthy big business can be.)

However, the EPA has grown to be WAY too big for its britches. A shrink back to 80s levels would be a nice slap in the face to the green-red communists there, while still leaving jobs for those legitimately looking out for the health and safety of the country.
