I only buy Kerry Gold butter. It makes everything taste delicious.

at one time margarine (oleo) was banned in wisc.

My recollection was that colored margarine was banned. You could still buy pale margarine that didn't look like butter, and you could even get packs of coloring that you'd have to mix it in yourself. Nobody in Wisconsin wanted that hassle, so we'd just smuggle in normal colored margarine from Illinois if we wanted some. Of course real butter did taste better than margarine; it was just much more expensive as a result of the protection from competition that the state government gave to dairy farmers.

The taste reminds me of a pond I use to catch fish in.

The meat was so sweet and took on the flavors of the yellow flowers ringing the shore.

Another story says that Wisconsin only allows Grade A dairy products be sold within its borders, but Kerrygold isn't graded by US authorities.

Love it on my popcorn, bread, potatoes...

Hate the taste of white bread, fortified or sour dough but, a generous spread of Kerry gold and life is worth living...

You also need to try Kerry Gold Dubliner Cheese! Wisconsin is the Nutball State, what with Paul Ryan being from there. And they call their RAT Party the Democratic Farm Labor Party. Sounds like something from the old Soviet Union.
Then again, I remember when you could not bring French Wines into California. Now that problem has “been resolved” because California wines are actually better than those from France. Maybe the Wisconsin Dairymen need to up their game.
We used to get cheese from the County LIne Cheese Co. in Oncto, Wi. It was good stuff.

My understanding is that Wisconsin requires grading of butter and Kerry Gold does not meet state regulations.

Margarine ban would send red alerts to big pharma when cholesterol is no longer a problem “they” need/want to fix.

Gascon brandy, made in small batches, and then aged in oak casks? Sounds delicious.

Thanks for posting. I’ll have to check out my local Maryland Costco to see if they carry it.
