By denial, you miss the actual point.
It is a fact that the elections of 2000 and 2016 were won with the lower popular vote. We are in the minority and a very few defectors can sway the elections against us
Stated differently, the cities are American enemies
You cant just cite past numbers without putting them into a larger context.
A few blue states have very large populations. California has nearly 39 million residents. Liberal New York nearly 20 million. Illinois at 13 and New Jersey at 9. Just those four states represent a whopping 25% of the countrys entire population.
Now, if you examine the population growth of those states youll notice they are way down the list. By contrast, many of the states that Trump won have strongly increasing populations. So its not denial; its recognition of facts. But I do agree that the cities will remain a significant challenge for Republicans for a long time to come. That’s part of the Great Cultural Divide.
And of course, Trump is working to get control of the immigration problem, voting requirements are being tightened up in a number of states, and population trends such as those pointed out above will influence future elections.
Indeed. If you look deep into those blue areas. most, if not all, contain Democrat-run cities. That's one reason I am for the Electoral College Vote by Congressional Districts.
