Burgers are good. Melted cheese is also good
Put the two together, and were not going to be too disappointed.
If, like us, you strongly agree with the concept of an extremely cheesy burger, its probably worth getting down to Maxwells restaurant in Covent Garden, stat.

and she nearly slayed him with a wilting look,
Well, I’m glad he survived. It reminds me of Jay Nordlinger’s observation about liberals being the only people who literally hiss at other people.

As Troy said to Eve :
good manners are just a way of showing other people we have respect for them. See, I didnt know that, I thought it was just a way of acting all superior.
You are spot on Mrs Flaming Conservative-
Sounds like you know how to live, in theory and in practice!

Liberals hiss at people because they have about as much sense as a goose. (With apologies, any liberal freepers out there. I couldn’t resist).

If that’s fake cheese, no thanks. Otherwise, looks good.

TOO MUCH.
One slice or two is perfect. Everything in moderation.

Boy, you are right.
Ever go to a restaurant and they add too much dressing on a salad. It’s disgusting.

I don’t find that appetizing, but...I am not going to disparage anyone for the food they like...it’s like art-in the eyes of the beholder (as long as I don’t have to watch them eat it!)

Try cubed chuck instead of ground beef. It tastes better and you have complete control of fat content, plus it’s more authentic.

Later works. I prefer my cheese to be melted on the burger....tastes better

I had the same thought. Maybe the purpose of the cheese is to hide the flavor and texture of the beef.

My American friends make fun of me (A Brit) for eating a cheeseburger with a knife and fork.
Old habits die hard.

I think it’s a reference to the movie Pulp Fiction.

First, I love your screen name. :-)
Second do Brit s really eat cheeseburgers with a knife and fork?
There’s something to be said for that. I like the condiments more than the meat. So I can eat the bun with the mustard, relish, etc.
Then I can throw the meat patty to my dog. LOL!

It’s a much more civilized way to dine. I’m pretty sure they thought we Yanks were pure savages when they saw us stuffing our faces with hamburgers and pizzas and the like.

Indeed.
And my “What?” is also a reference to the movie Pulp Fiction.

I do the same with scotch pies - eat the pastry and discard the meat.
