If This Attourny really wants to springboard to being a Republican Mayor of NYC, he has to 1) make a name as a crusader for good, 2) not annoy the Democrat machine, and 3) not be seen as a patsy for Trump.

#1 has been done by his crackdown of corruption.

#2 although he's set up the Carlos Danger case, he cannot prosecute it, or else the Clinton machine will fire up the Democrat NYC machine against him

#3 he cannot be kept on by Trump, especially after his private meeting with Trump has been publicized

Therefore the best for the Attourny and the best for Trump (who whould like a Republican Mayor in NYC) is to have Trump's Attourny General fire him. Believe in Trump... it will all work out.
