Just perhaps his replacement will have the same motivation?
Yes, fired, just announced on ,,Fox News too
Record looks good but he is an Obama dude.
Some prosecutors’ offices have a practice where, when a new AJ or DA takes over, they have everyone submit a resignation letter and then “rehire” the ones who deserve to be kept on. I kind of hope that’s the case here.
Too bad, so sad.
He is a Schumer and Obama guy, no one in their right mind would keep him on. You have to be able to trust those who work for you. Any doubts as to why. look at what happened under Bush, kept a bunch of holdovers and was constantly undermined.
I live in New York, and he was the only thing trying to clean it up.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
By not resigning when asked, he revealed that he is way too full of himself. Good riddance! He’s certainly not the only attorney capable of cleaning up that cesspool on the Hudson.
US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President. When a President asks for a resignation and the US Attorney refuses, the next step is to escort him to the sidewalk under armed guards.
Terrific. Just had some great jobs news and a decrease in illegal immigration. So here’s an idea, let’s create an alternative story for the media talk about for the next couple of weeks, and have the Trump administration have to defend.
Preet Bharara fired?
Preet Bharara. All American boy next door.
He was already an enemy of Andrew Cuomo and Bill DeBlasio
I would have left him there - and sowed some discord among Democrats in NY by publicly praising him as an ally of Trump and clean-up of progressive government in NY
NY Leftists heads would have exploded.
How so?
Is he conservative?
What is your take?
Good riddance to him. He dissed Trump, now he can go back to India.
Senator Schumer got preta barraha hired as US attorney for SDNY. He has to go... and he is gone...
What's the complaint? Did Clinton and Obama give political appointees a while to prove themselves.
Uhhhhhhh...no.
I'm thinking AG Sessions might be tougher and more strategic than President Trump is.
Isn’t he the one who put Dinesh D’Souza away for jaywalking (basically)?
Dinesh says that no one was ever prosecuted, let alone sentenced to prison for what he did. I’d fire him just for that, plus:
1. I trust Trump.
2. I trust Dinesh
3. He was Schumer’s choice. That ALONE gets him fired in my book.
If he publicly refused to tender his resignation, then he was violating the ethical obligation to his client to quit and keep his mouth shut about it. When he went public saying he wasn’t going to resign, then the only proper response from the Attorney General was to fire him.
If he was that good he could have put in an application for reinstatement. Now he is not eligible for rehire.
He didn’t bust the Clintons for their pay to play scheme. Times up Preet, you’re fired.
