Many people believe that the opportunity to receive a quality education is a human right fit for all regardless of their race, creed, or socioeconomic status.
However, there are private and public figures in the American power structure who do not agree with that notion. In fact, a senator in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania believes that black students, in particular, are better fits for vocational schools than they are for college or university attendance.

They created the domain in 2013. From the WHOIS data it looks like a legitimate web site set up by somebody to express their opinions, which is a good thing, regardless of whether or not one agrees with everything they say.

A race-named website calling someone else racist??? HM...
It's not only that, but that they're majoring in completely useless degrees.
A trade school education may not be a glamorous as a college degree, and you will miss out on all that fun campus partying, protesting and liberal indoctrination, but you will leave with a skill that will allow you to provide for your family in ANY economy.
A useful skill is worth much more than a college degree these days.
Reminds me of the old Frazier episode in which the former high-school bully, now reformed and a successful plumber, is called in to repair Frazier’s toilet. He’s just upgraded to a better car model than Frazier drives.
I’m a college educated white collar professional.
My plumber lives down the street from me in a house just as good as mine.
Maybe not fantastically wealthy, but these kids will make a lot more money from tech school than they will from a crappy university undergrad program, and they will make it a lot sooner, and with a lot less tuition and fee expense. It’s a GOOD way to go but they make it sound like janitor school.
I prefer plumbers who wax philosophical about the type of toilet paper people use and the things people put in the toilet.
Lol, read the comments.
In my area many students who studied to work in the trades watched their jobs go to immigrants (legal or otherwise); unionized guys with steady employment do well, while everyone else has a tough time.
“In my college the vast majority of blacks were athletes taking useless courses or angry blacks in self segregated grievence studies.”
Those self-segregated courses are critical to maintaining the myth that these are “students”; there is no math/science, heck - there aren’t even right & wrong answers - and they fill up with those minorities because a couple of days into their first semester they realize they have no business being in a real college-level class (in any subject) with the non-affirmative action students. I actually pitied those kids years ago when I was in college; they quickly realized they had been deceived, and hadn’t received any education at all.
You are exactly right that too many students go to college and not enough go to voc-tech. Many of the college degrees are absolutely worthless. Many of the students were never good students in junior high or high school and becoming a college student is never going to magically make them a good student.
Also, it is far less likely that one’s job as a plumber or electrician will ever be outsourced the way other careers have been.
Probably true for a lot of whites kids also
That’s unfortunate, but I bet your area is very liberal also.
The political dynamic does directly impact the local economy, especially for skilled/unskilled labor. I bet Industrial companies closed up shops by the dozens in your area.
NJ is liberal on all things but race, and over the past few years, taxes. Industry left this area decades ago; at this point we’re filling with immigrants (legal and otherwise) that vote Dem because it costs them nothing and gives them everything.
The problem facing the trades was never outsourcing; it was importing braceros to do the work. I see them doing just about everything but electrician work; plumbers and carpenters seem to prefer them as assistants to young Americans. A friend described how he knew he’d eventually lose his roofing job because his firm was hiring lots of braceros, even they had no idea how to use the tools. The company would just train them instead of Americans; the only work left for Americans was the best of them could stay on as foremen - if they spoke Spanish.
No one is inviting racism you are simply just choosing to ignore it. This Senator created a divisional narrative by saying inner city students would be better fit for vocational schools. This is a supremacists minded motion. 90 percent of inner city students in High School are monitored so either this Senator is ignorant to that fact and highly lacks intend or his comment is directly aimed at the monitory student.
