THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

COLE PORTER

SILK STOCKINGS

MILES DAVIS: “ALL OF YOU”

This track from his 1957 disk “‘Round About Midnight” features an all star cast. John Coltrane’s sax is a revelation, Paul Chambers’ bass is exceptional, and Red Garland’s solo gives me a bad case of pianist envy.

In 1960, Miles took this one on the road to Paris. Coltrane’s solo is absolutely wild. This is a full 17 minute set.
