The tax returns, many believe, are part of the Russian connection, the disruption of our election, the money pouring into the Trump organization, any personal embarrassment to the president -- we want to know the truth, and we can start by seeing his tax returns.
Which is not an extraordinary request - unless you're Donald Trump and think you're above custom, tradition and maybe even the law!

Hillary’s emails were supposed to be made available to the gubmint, and she avoided providing them.
There is absolutely no requirement that a President must release his tax returns, to anyone in government (beyond those who receive the original documents when legally filed), or to the public.
Sometime after Nixon, it got popular for Presidential candidates to release copies of their tax returns. Nothing required it, other than the pressure of looking bad politically for failing to release them if all the opponent(s) had.
Trump did not release his, and STILL won the election. The voters have made their decision, Nancy. They were not interested enough in seeing the documents to prevent DJT from being elected.
