When Paul Ryan and his congressional clown car of alleged conservatives surprised us by just sort of dropping Obamacare Jr. on us, I wasnt surprised to see them trip all over their Guccis during the utterly inept roll out. These nimrods couldnt effectively communicate to Elizabeth Warren with smoke signals. But even I was shocked at how transcendently crappy their proposed Obamacare replacement is. Let me put it this way: the only thing that steaming pile of failure would be good for is as the key prop in a very specialized, niche German porno film.
Seriously, how many times do we have to tell you? Obamacare must die. Kill it dead with fire!
When are you going to get it through your wonk spheres that we dont want a government-led health care system that leaves the people who infest D.C. in charge? We dont need a plan because 85 percent of us already have a plan its called Taking responsibility for supporting ourselves and our families like damn adults.

Nuke it from orbit!
Amen! Get the feds out! It’s unconstitutional for them to even be involved. As conservatives, as REPUBLICANS, as law abiding responsible free citizens we should be united in marching against such unconstitutional tyranny!
People think it is easy to change in Washington. It is not - it is nearly impossible
Yes, the USA has a crappy, complex, and expensive health-care system, but everyone overlooks that it has millions and millions of people, from medicaid recipients to billionaire crony-capitalist insurance company CEO’s who have bought-into and benefit from the present system, ultimately fed by huge government debt. There is still someone else paying for it - and that creates massive inertia to change and huge lobbying force and pressure within Washington.
Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are owned, body and soul, by the lobbyists and the Deep State. Everything they do is designed to protect themselves and their puppet masters.
When viewed from that perspective, everything they do makes perfect sense! They have no intention of repealing Obamacare unless they replace it with something equally beneficial to them and equally awful for us!
D.C. at it’s finest.
One of the best and ON POINT screeds I’ve seen in a while.
But, I suspect, even if they did another vote-call, not one would stand up for the position. Long live the Uniparty! *Pfttt*
The elimination of Obamacare has been my litmus test used to prove whether a politician is a conservative or a member of the #uniparty. Looks like the #uniparty is well represented, still.
That theory is fine, but the stickler is turning it to reality.
I mean we are on a path called reality, we can’t simply jump through the air to another path. That would be as likely as the cow jumping over the moon.
So how would getting the government completely out of healthcare work? Anyone have a real workable path to executing that theory?
Repeal the unconstitutional Obamacare program and start removing any and all federal roadblocks to the free market NOW!
It’s now or never. Are we socialists or responsible law abiding, constitution defending republicans? If the GOP installs yet another unconstitutional federally mandated healthcare plan, we as free republicans are lost. Socialism will have won the day (until total collapse).
Agree with your comment, but are you advocating pulling the rug out from all of those who have no alternative at this stage except for the current version of the ACA?
The party has screwed up and doesn’t have a suitable replacement “yet” and they can’t agree among themselves. They could end up with a pyrrhic victory if they “nuke” it and leave millions of small business people without insurance availability.
I believe your posting will come to pass, but it may take longer than 30 days to repair 1/6th of the economy.
When viewed from that perspective, everything they do makes perfect sense! They have no intention of repealing Obamacare unless they replace it with something equally beneficial to them and equally awful for us!
Well said. President Trump needs to find a way to break the lobbyist connections......
“It doesnt let us buy across state lines.”
That has nothing to do with Obamacare.
It is because states regulate insurance (see 10th amendment)
So just as your Ohio or New York auto insurance policy must comply with OH or NY state rules for auto insurance so must your medical insurance policy comply with OH or NY medical insurance rules.
We had entire massive industries deregulated in a period from the late 1970s through the 1980s. I'll list telecommunications, freight transportation, and energy as three big ones. Use that as a model and let's get started.
The story of telecommunications in the U.S. since the 1970s is a good case study to illustrate the value of deregulation. It explains why you pay thousands of dollars a year for health insurance that is worthless, and you pay $600 for an iPhone that has more computing power than the entire U.S. space program did when Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon.
Any “plan” MUST apply to Congress. Otherwise, FUPR, FUMM, FUGOP and EVERYBODY else that’s selling this. FUALL.
Repeal Obamacare. The constitution reserves such things as healthcare and insurance business to the states and the people to decide. We’re most likely stuck with medicare until some miracle changes the expensive dynamics of healthcare itself, but we do have a very short window to immediately stop the feds from getting deeper into the swampy socialist mire.
Have you proposed that to the Trump Administration?
Precisely why I’ve voted in my last election.
It doesn’t matter who you vote for......you get screwed either way.
The constitution is clear. NO federal plan! It’s reserved to the states and the people. Set my people free!
