Martin was asked Tuesday by a commenter on his blog, called Not a Blog, who his "dream guest/cameo" would be. The commenter, with the username RaUL_AMDERLAINE, floated New England Patriots quarterback and friend of President Trump, Tom Brady.
Martin's reply was Trump's predecessor, the 44th president.
"Well, Barack Obama would be pretty exciting," Martin said

Yes, it has gay sex scenes shoe horned into it, and I say shoe horned, because none of this was in the books.
Characters that were not gay in the books are suddenly aggressive homosexuals, characters that were not even in the books materialize on the show as gay characters.
It’s pitiful.
That being said, I still watch the show, because I enjoyed the books a great deal, but I’m definitely not a fan of the gay.
Did you watch the episode in reverse? On my DVD it is the last scene of the first episode

Who? What? Something new the propagandists are up to and we’re onto and don’t care. This must be the big roll out they were talking about. I hope their ratings tank. At this point they’re preaching to themselves.

All the prominent gay characters were killed off in the television show. And the books definitely showed they were gay -- it's just not in your face because Martin employs subtle narrative techniques.
When it turned out the prime motivation for the main plot of Black Sails was revenge for a gay lover, I dropped it instantly. Is it a double standard for me to put up with two seasons of lesbian sex and bail the minute two guys kissed? Don’t care if it is. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Now, I stuck with Spartacus. The gays were supporting characters. If Sparty had gone gay, I’d have bailed on that, too. As it is, I can’t see myself ever watching Spartacus or any show with rampant male homosexuality ever again. The Walking Dead is already pushing it.
I’m pretty sure that the only gay characters in the books were Renly and Loras, and their homosexuality was never directly addressed, only vaguely hinted at, which was fine. Maybe there were others, but if so they were so subtle I can’t even remember them.
The TV show is over the top with it, and I definitely think it’s pitiful.
It’s like they have some fairy floating around on the set in winged slippers waving a gay wand at whatever while saying put more gay in it.

Correct.
I don’t recall Oberyn being gay in the books, and I don’t recall Jon Connington at all.
It was a couple of years ago...It’s what I remember about the episode so I was mistaken about when it happened. But it happened and was disgusting.
