Oh, HE DID, NY Post? Did Commey say this while discussing his job future? Has Commey come out and said anything himself about “privately asking”?
So the NYP is taking these alleged “sources” as FACT?

Everyone is, and it's just an example of how the Big Lie works. The original story, fabricated by the NYT is full of "unnamed sources" indirectly quoting Comey. There is no actual quote by Comey. There is no comment by the FBI spokesman. There is no comment by the DOJ spokesman. There has been neither confirmation nor denial from Comey himself.
Now every news outlet on the planet is quoting from the original story as if Comey has made some statement. He hasn't.
