Totalitarians like to erase history...just saying
Whoops!
Here’s the real link:
You notice with all these stories, the statues are just getting moved a few miles down the road, and the Democrats that make up these city councils are making the local taxpayers foot the bill for the exorbitant price tags ($400,000 for the one in Louisville, KY) of moving the statues? What difference does it make if this statue sits in this one spot in New Orleans vs. this other spot in New Orleans?
Another waste of court time. Of course, the city has the Right to remove statues or monuments. However, leaving them in place gives you a chance to discuss treason and its implications.

Are there any statues of Sherman at LSU? He was head honcho there before the war. Or are only southern civil war statues covered?
I’ll take them all . Give them an honored place where the morons can’t bother them....
Evidently, the National Register of Historic Places is a total sham.
Why? Are those aholes on the court afraid of American history?
Of course they can remove them — they are the elected representatives of the voters. Don’t like it, vote in new representatives.
If history and heritage don’t rile you up enough to vote in new management, how about the wasted money to move the statues?
Come on Mitch, three stupid statues? The surviving plantations, the French Quarter and the Civil War Museum should be bulldozed.
There are actual Confederate flags on display at the Civil War Museum. Can you believe that?
If you just erase history it is as if it never happened. And I look forward to any references to huricane Katrina because it is such an unfortunate event.
Well of course they did.
Be nice to have a museum of history in every state filled with the history liberals want to erase.
The truth of it is, and the shame of it is, you were brow-beat and pressured and threatened into the action by rabble rousers. It had nothing to do with "who you are" as a city.
Get rid of that nasty St. Joan over on Decatur while you’re at it, morons!
Westerns were ubiquitous on tv in the Fifties through the early sixties. One of the most common themes revolved around the overhanging cultural tension left from the Civil War. Reconciliation, with an attitude of “the war is over, we’re all Americans, let’s learn to live together and get on with building the country”, was the universal resolution - until we come to the Sixties’ Gramscian culture war that required conflict in all things. The poison of the leftist takeover of Hollywood and their mission to destroy all things casting positive light on America swept away any wholesome and uplifting depictions of Americana. NO has drunk deeply from this cup of poison.
Democrats must love the Taliban. You can’t fix stupid and history has already happened.
