Actually, I think the opposite will be true.

With Obama and Soros and Hillary and Pelosi and Schumer, all promising to obstruct and stop Trump by any means possible...

it would behoove the investigating republicans to get to the bottom of all wrongdoings and all law breaking (including the breaking of the FISA laws)...

in order to get Obama and the others to back off, OR ELSE...

they'll have to face indictments and possible criminal charges and prison time.

Anything less would be emboldening to the anti-Trump forces, and Trump and his administration will be forever under attack by the loony left.

Here's the problem with your scenario:

This isn't Jeb Bush in the White House. It's Donald Trump.

He probably already knows what a Congressional investigation is going to find, and if they try not to find it he is going to make sure it gets shoved in their collective faces even if he has to do it via Twitter messages at 5:30 AM.

Even as recently as a few years ago I never believed in my wildest dreams that I'd see a U.S. President post a message like this about the Senate minority leader:
