Yes, it is way too soon to start counting-up indictments that former President Obama could face. We know absolutely nothing about the evidence President Trump relied upon in his Twitter accusations, nor do we know of enough specifics.
Still, we get to have fun once in a while, don’t we?

The trail may well lead to Obama but he will never be connected just as in the IRS and DOJ scandals. His appointees know what he wants and do it, thus giving him plausible deniability while burying the mess in the subterranean bureaucracy where facts blur into nothingness.
Adding his actions to the time-line might be instructive.

Now, the media, the dems and the RINOs are going to try to cover it all up and make it seem like that didn’t happen at all... but that’s exactly what happened and I don’t think the coverup will be successful.
Sessions has recused himself from EVERYTHING in DC. There will be no Deputy AG approved by Congress until 2020 at the rate they are going. That leaves only career Obama people in the DoJ.

zer0 switched the line of succession at DOJ to make sure one of his minions, buddy of Clapper and ardent prog would be Deputy AG. EARLY in the transition, this was noticed and quietly changed. I can’t recall the name of the current Deputy AG, but he was reinstated to his position by Trump. You can search for the name. I use StartPage...Google without the tracking.
At this point in time, slow walking confirmations/appointments is a losing cause that draws unwanted attention to the Congress. Trump can appoint someone at the first recess, which I believe is at Easter.
Your concern is noted.
The only way to get away from the treachery is an unanticipated move such as that.

Yup. Nice to dream but Obama is never going down. Nor Hillary. That would mean there was accountability. But Obama might be further discredited and taken out of the game. That would be a best case scenario

They thought they would win, but they needed something to really smear Trump, and they thought the Russian thing might do it. Manafort had some connections, and this was just the way in, selling it to the FISA court as a national security issue. When they were rebuffed by the courts, they found a new narrative to try after the DNC and Podesta leaks appeared. This time they got their warrant.
I think this was always meant as an October/November surprise. They never thought they would lose, hence the willingness to use the federal intelligence apparatus. In their arrogance, they saw this as low risk, high reward. It turned out to be the the opposite.

If Trump was snooped inappropriately, he has a civil claim against the government. The perjury and illegal dissemination claims are lost by use of cutouts.
At the same time, this is political dynamite. Obama, the DEMs, etc. were abusing legitiate government powers for purely political ends.
Fire them, then promote the next in line with the clear instructions to stick to the LAW and the FACTS. If they don't do so, repeat the process.
FR and some other crevasses of the iNet consume too much time already.
There are more than a few of the really witty 97ers & 98ers on Twitter. :)
