Pence is good but he’s not Trump. He’s establishment at heart, best buds with Ryan and all-in for the way Washington currently works.

He’s good and I’m not knocking him, just wouldn’t want him for POTUS at this point in time.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought the Prez was saluted b/c he’s CIC - VP is not CIC, and, as far as I know doesn’t have any authority over the military.
