I was thinking the same thing. I thought the Prez was saluted b/c he’s CIC - VP is not CIC, and, as far as I know doesn’t have any authority over the military.
He has none, that I know of. I just don't want Pence to get ahead of himself. He's a contributing member of the TRUMP administration .... not the POTUS.
