I am confused. Because the bill being introduced also includes kids on parents until 26 yrs. old and can't discriminate on pre-existing conditions, is just rearranging the deck chairs? Is that not something almost everyone would want?
Wouldn't just repealing without replacing cause a LOT of problems for a lot of people?
I remember before Medicare came into being we could afford a doctors visit. It was when government got involved that everything went haywire.

Would this be an actual refund or a deduction? What I heard explained about the tax thing is employees and big companies don't pay taxes on the amount the company puts towards the employees health insurance. Small businesses and employees don't have that benefit. So to make it fair for them they would get a special deduction on their taxes.
Am I misunderstanding this?

I thought the same thing. Let Ryan’s plan cause outrage and backlash from the people and the Freedom Caucus. Let his plan get tossed, along with his credibility. He will be greatly diminished and I think that’s the plan.
Actually, I’ve heard two versions and to be honest haven’t taken the time to lock it down, yet. First is a refund check to individual. Second is worse, a refund check to the insurance company.
Either way, it’s our tax money giving someone the refund.
