If there is a grand jury seated in this case, it might actually be in New York and not the District of Columbia.
That’s an interesting thought. I remember the US Attorney from the Southern District of NY coming to Trump Towers during the transition and Trump asked him if he would stay on. That’s the only US Attorney that I recall hearing about being asked to stay. From what I’ve read, he’s a very play by the books/law guy, even though appointed by Obama (IIRC).
So, if there is a trial in NY, sounds like they may have a good US Attorney on it.
