President Barack Obama on Thursday nominated Dana J. Boente to be the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Boente has been acting U.S. attorney for the Eastern District since 2013 and previously served in that role from 2008-2009.
Boente was in charge of the office during last year’s six-week corruption trial of former Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife, Maureen McDonnell, both of whom were convicted.

Demand a resignation letter from EVERY US Attorney. Anything less will only exacerbate the problem with draining the swamp.
If their performance up to now has been satisfactory, then do not act upon the letter. The rest shall be free to return to whatever pursuits they followed before, EXCEPT becoming a member of a lobbyist firm registered in the US Congress.

Folks we all need to realize there were more than a few Republicans against Trump. Trump needs to surround him self with people he knows he can trust. LOT of the so called elite Republicans will cut his throat to protect their territory. That more than anything protected Slick during his two terms of office, as no prosecutions were brought against all the members of his administration who were underperforming or performing with malfeasance in their appointive offices.
Even the Special Prosecutor, Ken Starr, could not cut through this fog of obfuscation and chicanery to get at the REAL high crimes and misdemeanors.
This is called “playing hardball”. Brushbacks and beanballs are perfectly acceptable.

He is next in line until the new 2nd in charge is confirmed which should be this week. (per news reports)
