If Sessions is not a fighter like DJT, maybe he should make room for someone who is.

We need a wartime consigliere, and that’s Rudy!

The U.S. Attorney General cannot conduct himself like any other cabinet appointee. He is a lawyer first and a political figure second. This means he has professional obligations that he would not have if he were the U.S. Secretary of Labor, for example. His announcement yesterday was the most inconsequential event in Washington in the last three months. By definition, a lawyer cannot serve in an oversight capacity in cases where he has ties to the person or organization being investigated.

Sessions explained this clearly in his press conference yesterday.

When was the last time the United States ever had an Attorney General who was a "fighter like DJT?" It hasn't happened in my lifetime -- for the simple reason that political figures can be fighters in public, but an attorney general cannot.
