Unless you read sites like FR, Ace, Instapundit you were never exposed to the email content and only slightly exposed to the fact of the emails at all. Still why didnt Sessions just say he met the ambassador a couple of times and they spoke of the general international situation.
Because that was not the context of the question he was asked. He was asked about people who are a part of the Trump campaign meeting with the Russians, not the generic, did you ever have a meeting with the Russians for any reason. His meeting with the Russians was due to his work in the Senate. He did very little work with the Trump campaign at all and certainly no meetings with Russians about Trump's campaign -- just senate business.
