I think it’s important to understand that the Democrats at this point don’t care if there’s any validity to all these “Russia” allegations and they don’t expect to get any sort of special prosecutor or findings. They know damn well there would be nothing to be found if this ever did happen.
They just want to keep the “Russia hacked the elections” concept alive in the minds of the average inattentive voter. They’ll try anything to diminish the perceived validity of Trump’s victory and to excuse their massive electoral failures.
They also generate an attack every day. Yesterday it was Trump selling us out on immigration and Kellyanne’s feet.
Color me a conspiracy nut but I believe this is why Obama setup in D.C. This whole Russian thing has been going since the primaries. I’m not big on coincidences so my guess is it’s a very well thought out plan to destroy the President.
Scary.
Thanks to idiots like Nunes and Issa, we will hear about Russians for the next 8 years.
Dems are hoping to ride this Russian narrative to 2018. It’s really all they (think they) have to avoid annihilation. What they don’t realize is that it is how Trump & Co perform that is going to make/break him and them.
That said, Sessions should have been very specific in answering this question in his AG confirmation hearing, as this, even if benign, may inadvertently lend more credence to the aforementioned narrative.
My last thought is on the timing of this allegation. Surely this information was known at the time of his hearing, so what took so long/why now? Is it something they’ve been sitting on for a time when Trump gained some mojo as he did in his speech? Are they hoping this will not be resolved long enough to keep suspicion alive for the 2018 elections?
