I wonder if Steyn is one of the pom-pom boys for Trump, Levin is always referring to.

Steyn is actually a reluctant Trumper. He got on board the train at the last stop and is seeing the light. Still critical but his mind is changing.

Like I wrote, I haven’t listened to Levin in more than a year but I know from other sources that Levin had some sort of bizarre antipathy for Donald Trump throughout the campaign. Because of that, I stopped referencing some of the good work he had done in the years prior to his bizarre Trump fixation.

I also have listened to Steyn a few times, not a lot, but enough times to know he appreciates Donald Trump.

So I can only guess the dispute between Levin and Steyn is over the President.

As for ‘pom-pom’ characterizations by Levin, that’s the first I’ve heard of it and it seems like a cheap shot.

I was certainly no ‘pom-pom’ fan of Donald Trump when I set aside a few days in early August 2015 to do some deep background research on Candidate Donald Trump. In fact, I was biased against him. I was sure I would find all sorts of collusion with democrats and the Clintons that would point unequivocally to Trump having an agenda to destroy true conservatism.

I could not have been more wrong. I was shocked and astonished at what I found. I posted some of the findings here:

So whatever Levin got tied up in, I cannot know and don’t want to listen to find out because my own research shows clearly who Donald Trump is and where his heart is.

But I have one very big reservation about President Donald Trump and our American system.

Donald Trump is one in a billion. We are going to enjoy the greatest President I have seen since President Ronald Reagan.

Both Reagan and Trump are outliers. The problem with such greatness in these Presidents is they are extremely hard acts to follow.

Our American system will surely revert to lesser human beings as Presidents and whoever they are they will not be able to meet the expectations left by the great ones.

Our country badly needs structural reforms that strengthen our Republic for the times that we have presidents that revert back to the awful trek that the presidents between #40 and #45 led us to.

Here is a discussion with some illustrations of the kinds of things our country needs:
